(LEX 18) — Two women who were arrested for credit card fraud in Northern Kentucky have now been accused of defrauding Cracker Barrel out of tens of thousands of dollars.
Danielle Davis, 41, of Oklahoma and Shirley Cameron, 53, of Chicago were originally arrested by police in Elsmere, Kentucky in November 2018.
According to a federal indictment, the women would allegedly use stolen credit card numbers to purchase items from a Cracker Barrel and then return those items to a different Cracker Barrel.
The women would have the money refunded to their own debit cards, which had the same last four digits as the stolen cards.
The indictment said the women repeated the scheme 43 times at restaurants in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Missouri and Arizona.
The scheme is alleged to have cost Cracker Barrel more than $37,000.
