Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream Sandwiches Are The Perfect Treat For Warm Early Fall Days

Posted
and last updated

The official start of fall is still nearly a month away — but if you’re like me, fall begins in your heart on Sept. 1. That’s the day I set up my decor for the season, begin my official countdown to Halloween and start eating all the pumpkin treats I can get my hands on.

Unfortunately, it’s still a bit too warm outside where I live to start craving things like pumpkin spice lattes and soups. There is one pumpkin treat that this end-of-summer heat is perfect for, however: ice cream!

If you have a Whole Foods Market near you, go find this brand-new ice cream treat: organic pumpkin pie ice cream sandwiches! The ice cream sandwiches come in a box of six for $4.99 and will hit store shelves in September. Available through the fall, each sandwich has 180 calories and three grams of protein.

The ice cream sandwiches are far from the only pumpkin- and fall-themed treats you’ll find at Whole Foods starting next month and throughout the fall season.

When it comes to dessert, you’ll also find organic pumpkin pie cheesecake sandwich cremes and pumpkin spice whipped topping, which is naturally flavored and made with real cream.

Other fall goodies that either come from Whole Foods Market or 365 by Whole Foods Market this season include pumpkin spice apple sauce, pumpkin spice apple cider, organic apple-pear ginger Italian soda and butternut squash pasta sauce, which is made in Italy.

Whole Foods Market

If you don’t have a Whole Foods near you, or just want even more pumpkin, have no fear — there are plenty of other treats to try this fall.

You can get maple pumpkin butter from The Fresh Market, organic pumpkin spice popcorn from LesserEvil, pumpkin caramel yogurt from Yoplait’s Oui, Talenti’s pumpkin pie gelato and Member’s Mark pumpkin pecan clusters at Sam’s Club. Pillsbury has pumpkin cookie dough with cream cheese-flavored chips.

If you prefer your pumpkin flavors as a beverage, Starbucks’ pumpkin spice latte is already back. Or you can buy pumpkin spice chai tea from Tazo or pumpkin cold brew from STōK. You can even buy pumpkin beer from Sam Adams. Totally new this year, Vive is making pumpkin spice hard seltzer.

So many options! Do you look forward to pumpkin treats in the fall?
