The system spawning multiday waves of severe storms across the deep south will have an impact on the Commonwealth Thursday but we're far enough north that significant severe weather isn't likely. What we will see- rounds of showers and storms as low pressure runs the river and a warm front/cold front combo cuts across the Commonwealth. Expect a morning round of showers & isolated t-showers followed by a brief afternoon break.
The second wave into late Thursday afternoon/evening will throw heavy rain and strong, gusty storms our way. Watch for a few strong to severe storms down south with damaging wind and hail. Rainfall totals will top out in the 1" to 2" range.
