JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — We're all spending more time at home. That means more time with our family members, including the ones with four legs. Maybe you've noticed your new, or old, pup could brush up on some skills. One Jessamine County dog training and daycare business is still able to help.
"Instead of the owners bringing their dogs into the building, we're picking them up curbside. So the owners either honk their horn or send us a text and we run out at go get the dog," says Eakins.
As a dog trainer, Eakins can't do group classes or private lessons in person right now, so she's turned to the internet and video conferencing. She says the silver lining in that is that she can see the dog in their home environment.
During this unforeseen challenge, Eakins says she's learned a lot about what it means to be a good business owner.
