Showers and thunderstorms are still working their way through today with heavy downpours, strong wind gusts, and hail. We’ve had a few severe warned storms and may have a few more through the evening. Otherwise, expect rain showers or cloudy conditions along with temperatures that are mild in the rain, and hot outside of it.
We continue with active weather through the end of the week. The best chance for showers and storms arrives through the day Thursday. Storms will still be scattered in nature, embedded in a shield of rainfall. Though the severity of the storms is expected to be less, compared to today, there will still be a small chance for severe storms. A few isolated cells could grow enough to produce damaging wind and hail through tomorrow afternoon, especially east of I-75. Rain showers and storms will come to an end Friday as temperatures cool to the upper 70s or “normal” for this time of the year.
