We continue to track Hurricane Michael and the impacts it will have on the Southeast Gulf States. More information on that storm can be found in the StormTracker Weather Blog. Back home, we’re tracking the changes that will bring fall weather back to the Bluegrass. Temperatures were warm again today and we continue to sit in the upper 70s, low 80s. Rain showers earlier today have moved out, but we’re tracking more coming in later tonight.

Those showers will be accompanied by thunderstorms as the cold front slides through. Wind will continue to pick up before the front and it will produce a few strong gusts at times. Rain showers and storms will be abundant overnight into Thursday morning. After that time, the wind will shift and the cooler and drier air will move in. You will feel a difference when you go to work tomorrow. Chilly temperatures, especially in the morning will be the case moving forward, so prepare. Jackets may be needed. Temperatures are expected to drop down to the 40s for morning lows and the upper 50s for afternoon highs both Friday and Saturday.
