The NWS in Paducah has been conducting damage surveys in Christian County, south of Crofton, KY after the late evening/early am thunderstorms.
Preliminary reports show damage consistent with EF-1 tornado with peak wind speeds of 90 mph.

Storm Damage Summary:
AT LEAST 4 FARM STRUCTURES WERE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED ALONG WITH A PORTABLE GARAGE AND A REGULAR CONSTRUCTED GARAGE. SEVERAL HOMES HAD LOSS OF SIDING OR SHINGLES AND A COUPLE DOZEN TREES WERE UPROOTED. ONE HOME HAD SIX WINDOWS SHATTERED OR BLOWN OUT. THE TORNADO WAS OBSERVED BY A PRIVATE METEOROLOGIST/TRAINED SPOTTER ALONG HIGHWAY 41, JUST SOUTH OF CROFTON.
