Our first chance for accumulating snow of the season is going to be a wet, raw and slick mess! Expect cold rain occasionally mixed with snow Monday as highs hover in the upper 30s to low 40s. The best chance for snow kicks in this evening and overnight as lows crash to the mid 20s. Expect around 1" to 2" with isolated 3" totals possible in the Bluegrass and northern Kentucky. Most will initially stick to grass and elevated surfaces thanks to the relatively warm ground temperature early on but watch for potentially slick and hazardous road conditions developing overnight into Tuesday morning with that quick drop below freezing. A winter weather advisory is in effect. The system rapidly pulls northeast Tuesday, snow showers will wind down but highs will stay mired in the 30s.
