Our nicer weather pattern has pushed temperatures into the low 60s for highs today, and we're not done! We are looking ahead to a mild weekend as well. Temperatures will push up to around 65 degrees tomorrow before dipping slightly back to the low 60s for Saturday and Sunday. The mid 60s will keep us in the 10-degree warmer-than-normal category. The worst part is the higher wind gusts which have exceeded 20 mph for most and some, especially northern KY, have seen a few gusts up to 25 mph.
We have a Red Flag or Fire Weather Warning in effect for central KY until 7 pm today which means it could be dangerous to burn anything. Friday will be nearly as breezy so it is possible we have another warning coming up. The weekend looks mostly uneventful and dry with only a slight chance of a light shower overnight Friday into early Saturday as a warm front transitions over to a stationary front. That stationary front then will bring back some better rain chances Sunday night into Monday.
