Today, we have finally calmed down some but it was a tricky go for some earlier this morning as plenty of snow was left on the side and back roads mostly. We've seen times of sunshine today so that has certainly helped that snow to melt off of roads and some sidewalks, but there's still plenty of snow left on the grass. Totals were up between 2 and 3 inches for a good part of the state so it was a nice round of winter. Southern KY saw much less. Tomorrow, we will finally push back up above freezing after another night in the teens tonight.
We catch a break from the active weather as we finish up the work week and roll into the weekend, but we do already have our eye on our next weather-maker which could start off as a mix or snow before changing to rain later Saturday evening. Sunday will bring more soggy weather with plenty of rain again with warming temperatures. Into Monday, it's possible the cold air comes sweeping back in in time for us to change-over to snow again on the back side of the low pressure. Overall, we are still looking at seasonable temperatures into next week with both the 30s and 40s.
