A cold front slowly settles into the Commonwealth and stalls midweek. It will become the focus for more active weather but initially we won't see much. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid to upper 80s and muggy air Wednesday. A round of showers and storms will fire up over western Kentucky and slowly drift east along that boundary. Our best chance for a few showers and storms (mainly west of Lexington) will be late Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning. Thursday looks more active with showers, storms and locally heavy rain developing closer to home. Showers and storms are also likely Friday as low pressure spins into the Ohio Valley early in the weekend.
