Beta will continue to weaken, moving northeast and keeping the rain mostly south of us into Tennessee. At times today, we've seen a few light rain showers for the most part, but don't be surprised to see some more rain continuing through tonight especially in southeastern KY. A nice sun/cloud mix is on the way for tomorrow, especially in the afternoon with high temperatures getting back up into the mid 70s.
As we head into the first weekend of autumn, a ridge of high pressure will return sending above average temperatures our way. Some near the Great Lakes could even see highs as warm as 15 degrees warmer than seasonal. That could be the last push of summer before the numbers go the other way for several days. The wild weather ride will shift and send our daily highs into the mid then low 60s for a change. Low temperatures overnight should drop down to the low 40s proving that fall is truly here. Until then, enjoy the bit of nice and dry weather we have coming up Friday through Sunday.
