Along with our weekend, the showers will come to an end soon. Moving ahead into the next few days, the heat and humidity really turn back up! High temperatures will bounce from the low 80s to the low 90s by Wednesday. And what's worse...the humidity kicks up too, making our afternoons feel more like the mid 90s very soon. As the heat returns, the rain chances stay low at least through the first half of the work week.
We are watching Tropical Storm Laura which could become a hurricane in the next couple of days, and Marco which is already a category 1 hurricane both heading to the Gulf of Mexico. One will fizzle out (likely Marco) and Laura is expected to take a turn toward Louisiana, make landfall, then head north. The long-range forecast points to Kentucky even seeing some heavy rain out of the remnants of Laura by next weekend. Of course, a lot could still change so stay tuned to the wild weather ride ahead.
