Now that the rain from Sally is exiting the picture, we turn our attention to our next weather-maker which is a cold front that is moving through this afternoon. It is a quiet front as it is not producing any rain or storms, instead, we have sunshine and that is just a taste of what's to come. If you are looking forward to wearing hoodies or sweaters, your opportunity is coming soon. As this cold front swings through, it will begin to drop our temperatures starting tonight. For the next few days, highs (and lows for that matter) will run about 10 degrees below normal.
Saturday will be the coolest day with a high around 68° and lows down to the mid 40s making for some perfect bonfire evenings. This nice stretch of cooler, more fall-like weather, will last for a few days before temperatures take off again and head toward the upper 70s by the official start of Autumn on Tuesday, the 22nd. We will also see some beautiful sunshine and stay completely dry through most of next week.
