Storm Threat Rising

And the Heat Hangs On

and last updated

Unsettled weather is on the rise for the next couple of days. The remnants of Cristobal will pass well to our west Tuesday but watch for a few strong to severe afternoon storms. Brief spin-ups (isolated tornadoes) are possible, especially over western Kentucky. A cold front will drive a second and more widespread round of strong to severe storms our way Wednesday, again in the afternoon but extending into the evening. The main threats midweek will be damaging wind, hail and heavy rain. Expect highs ranging from the mid to upper 80s to low 90s south. We're cooler, drier and calmer to wrap up the week.
