Small Break from Rain

Another round coming soon

Now, that the cold front that brought us some morning rain is moving on through it is taking the rain with it. Central KY has even seen some clearing in the wake of the front, but more clouds will return tonight. Any added precipitation we see will be sprinkles tonight. Colder air is also on its way. Temperatures will tumble down to the mid/upper 30s overnight. Another system will move in late Sunday, but until then, we will likely stay dry with a mix of clouds and sun tomorrow. By evening, the rain will return and could even pick up in pace making for a soggy Sunday night through Monday morning.

A couple of models are starting to show the chance to see some cooling on the back side of the precipitation which would allow a change-over to a rain/snow mix by dawn Monday. Snow accumulations, if any, should stay light and on grass or higher terrain. Whatever collects will likely melt later Monday as temperatures warm into the low 40s. More snow chances persist through midweek with temperatures running closer to normal...in the mid 30s to mid 40s.
