A weak cold front will cut across the Commonwealth Thursday sparking isolated afternoon rain showers/sprinkles and bumping up cloud cover. With a southwest flow highs will top out in the upper 40s to around 50°. A northwest wind shift will drop lows close to freezing overnight with a few flurries possible early. After that, all attention turns to another round of winter weather inbound this weekend. Our best chance to pick up accumulating snow will be late Saturday, overnight into Sunday. The precipitation type, amount and overall impact is still uncertain as we wait for a clearer picture on the track of the low. This has the potential to be another significant winter weather event or one that bypasses the Bluegrass and grazes southeastern counties. Stay tuned...
