Lexington hit 89° four times in August but never reached 90°. We're back at it with highs in the upper 80s to around 90° Tuesday and Wednesday. With muggy air and plenty of sunshine it's going to feel like straight up summer weather in September. That will change with a dry cool front tracking southeast Thursday. Beyond isolated showers, highs will fall back to the mid to upper 80s with lower humidity. Unsettled weather (showers and storms) will impact the upcoming weekend with cooler air following early next week.
