Early to mid January is looking consistent. Consistently cold. We'll see highs staying around or just below average, ranging from around 40° midweek to the mid to upper 30s heading into the weekend. The next significant system will be a big deal for our neighbors to the south. Low pressure will track across the deep south Thursday/Friday and eventually off the mid Atlantic coast this weekend. Kentucky can expect a glancing blow with most of the moisture just out of state. The best chance for rain showers over to light snow will clip far southeastern mountain counties Thursday night into Friday morning.
