Here comes the heat again! Highs will jump to the upper 80s Wednesday but cool down to either side of 80° Thursday through Saturday as active weather fires up. A cold front stalled over southeastern Kentucky will remain the focus for scattered afternoon/evening showers and t-showers midweek. Most will be confined south of I-64 closer to the boundary. Yet another front drops in and stalls out Thursday but with a wave of low pressure tracking along it and plenty of moisture to work with we'll see a more significant chance for widespread rain to wrap up the work week. We need it in the Bluegrass and southeastern counties where we're running hefty rainfall deficits. Farther west it's been much wetter, they'll face the potential for heavy rain & flooding with multiple inches possible heading into the weekend.
