Once again, we have some big crashes and jumps in temperatures this week. After last night's cold front brought just a few sprinkles and high winds today, things will settle down as the sky clears tonight. As that happens, any heat from the day will escape into the atmosphere fast! Lows tonight will get all the way down to the mid and upper 20s so be sure to cover the sensitive plants. The first widespread freeze of the season is expected. In fact, a Freeze Warning goes into effect at 11 pm and lasts through 9 am Monday. This Warning will cover almost all of KY and all of TN.
Not a fan of the cold? Well, by the middle and end of this first week of November, we move from the 20s tonight to the low 70s by the end of the week! A ridge of high pressure moving from the southwest will be responsible for the warm-up and plenty of sunshine to go around! It won't feel too much like November this week, but we should soak it up while we can. Rain chances remain minimal until early next week.
