Get ready to wrap up February (and meteorological winter) with an active and increasingly soggy run of days. A round of light to moderate showers will impact mainly southeastern counties Friday with increasing clouds and highs still in the upper 40s to low 50s. A more substantial wave of moderate to heavy rain will lift northeast with a warm front overnight into Saturday morning. After a Saturday afternoon break our chance for the heaviest and most widespread rain of the weekend falls Saturday night into Sunday. Isolated t-showers and locally heavy rain will be possible. Weekend rainfall totals will range from 1" northwest to 2" to 3"+ southeast. Highs will surge well into the 50s and even low 60s Saturday into Sunday.
