The weather is about to take a big change as a cold front is moving our way. What we can expect coming up in the next 48 hours is some rain, wind and then a more October-like feel as we roll into the new month. Tonight lows will only dip to the low 60s and highs return to the mid 70s ahead of the front, but the changes will come once it has passed. Rain chances jump up to 70% for Monday with some moderate to heavy rain in spots. Timing will be late morning through late afternoon with totals looking to be between a quarter and three quarters of an inch of rain.
As our grass is getting a bit crispy, rain will do us some good, but what is coming after will be a bit more shocking. Temperatures, both high and low, will drop off sharply starting Monday night and we're in for a couple of blasts of cooler air through the week and into next weekend. Friday looks to be the coldest with highs struggling to get to 60 degrees.
