Chilly End to the Week

Frost likely as well

and last updated

A cold front is sweeping through as we speak which is bringing back the cooler weather just in time for us to wrap up this work week. Temperatures will be dropping from near 70° Thursday to the low 50s for highs on Friday. We can't say that it will be the first frost of the season, but frost is likely for the western part of the state Friday morning and spreading over to central and eastern KY by Saturday morning. A Frost Advisory will be in effect tonight for far northern and western KY. Be sure to provide some TLC to the mums or tender plants on these chilly nights.

The weekend will be a nice one as we stay dry and day-time temperatures will climb back up into the 60s. If you're not a fan of the October chilly, don't worry...we have the 70s gliding back in for all of next week.
