Chilly Days for a While Longer

Sunday stays cool

and last updated

Our Saturday has been nice and calm with some sunshine and temperatures warming up into the 40s for all. A slight wind has made it feel chilly today and jackets will be needed through Sunday too. The next couple of days should stay dry and we even have a nicer weather trend coming up later next week, but for now we stay below normal all up and down the east coast. Temperatures will run about 5 degrees below normal for tomorrow (Sunday) and around 10 degrees cooler for Monday. A weak system is pegging a slight chance for a few sprinkles or flurries on Monday, but most models say it's a long shot.

A nicer stretch of weather is coming up next week. A ridge of high pressure will send some nice warmth up into the north and Canada then it will slowly work down to Kentucky starting Wednesday. We will see the low to mid 50s for around 3 days and sunshine is included too. After that, a chance for rain returns which will bring more seasonable air back to the Bluegrass. For now, it looks like our next decent shot at rain isn't until next weekend.
