We'll take a day off from active weather Tuesday but it will be chilly with partly sunny skies and below average highs in the upper 30s to low 40s. Low pressure spins up well to our south and we'll see moisture spreading into the Commonwealth overnight. Watch for a few hours Wednesday morning with light freezing rain and snow possible, mainly along and north of I-64. Low in the upper 20s and a wintry mix could lead to a few slick spots on the roads for the morning commute. Light, slushy snow accumulation on the grass and elevated surfaces but it won't hang around long. With milder air pushing in thanks to a southerly wind and highs rising to the low 40s we'll transition to cold rain into the afternoon.
