Yet another winter storm is inbound! This round looks to throw more snow than ice, so at least we have that going for us.

Expect snow showers firing up Wednesday afternoon but the main slug of moisture ramps up overnight into Thursday. We'll see mostly snow overnight but a warm push of air aloft will kick it over to a wintry mix (sleet and light freezing rain) at times later in the morning.
The battle line between straight snow and mixed precipitation will hover over southeastern counties much of the day. A winter storm warning is in effect until Friday morning from Lexington, south and southeast. A winter weather advisory is up for lesser amounts north, northwest.
Expect a band of 3" to 6" with the highest totals southeast of Lexington. With all the snow and ice lingering on the roads and in the trees this will certainly add to hazardous road conditions and difficulty restoring power southeast.
