Plenty of active weather is ahead for this week as we remain gray and gloomy and that is exactly what we have seen this weekend. Unfortunately, the sun is not likely to show itself until much later in the week. Clouds will stay thick as we have the chance to pick up some more light or drizzle showers through Tuesday. Overall, expect very little change to the forecast now through late Tuesday. Big changes are coming though for mid and late week.
We now have Tropical Storm Zeta (the sixth named storm of the Greek alphabet this hurricane season) and it is forecast to move through the Gulf, take a turn toward none other than Louisiana again, make landfall, then head north. As of now, heavy rain looks to be here in KY by Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Not only could we pick up a few inches of rain from the system but could also see some thunderstorms. A brief warm-up will come with the tropical air too, but it won't last long, then the cooler air comes back and settles in for Halloween. Nice and drier weather is still ahead for next weekend.
