January gloom hangs on for another day with mostly cloudy skies and around average highs in the upper 30s to low 40s Thursday. Low pressure tracking across the deep south will throw just enough moisture our way to set up a brief band of light rain to snow across the Bluegrass Thursday evening. Minor accumulation (grass and elevated) surfaces is possible with the bulk of the impact staying well out of state. Watch for a secondary round clipping far southeastern counties overnight into Friday morning with minor/light accumulation possible near the Tennessee border and at higher elevations. Highs will stay mired in the 30s heading into the weekend as that system departs.
