A Couple of Sunday Showers

Quiet end to the weekend

and last updated

After an active start to the new year, things have quieted down a bit today. The clouds have stayed strong at least for central KY, but southeastern KY did see a bit of sun late this afternoon. Temperatures have ranged across the state because of that. As we look ahead to tonight and tomorrow, we have another low pressure set to move in. This one will bring us a few more rain showers, but these will generally be much lighter than the one we got yesterday. Totals will be less than a tenth of an inch. One model shows the slightest potential for a couple of light snow showers that could move in late tonight and linger through tomorrow. If we see anything from these, there will be no accumulation. As usual, the snow will likely stay north of the Ohio River.

Highs for Sunday will stick around 40 degrees so it will stay chilly. By Monday, we're looking ahead to some sunshine at least for part of the day. Most of this coming week will be dry with the exception of a couple of small systems that could brings a rain shower or two especially late in the week. Temperatures will remain around or slightly above normal next week.
