Bitterly cold Arctic air barrels south into the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes later this weekend but holds just short of overwhelming the Commonwealth. We'll see slightly below average highs in the upper 30s Friday and Saturday with colder air seeping in Sunday. Just to keep it interesting we'll also see multiple chances for wet & wintry weather. The first, a narrow band of flurries and light snow clipping northern Kentucky Friday night. Round two, Saturday night as a wave of more widespread rain and low pressure push northeast. Watch for a brief shot of snow on the back-end Sunday morning with minor to light accumulation possible. Round three looks to graze far southeastern Kentucky early next week. Since most of this happens overnight the majority of the weekend will seem fairly quiet!
