A TORNADO WATCH is now in effect for areas along and east of I-75 through 9 PM.
Isolated cells are starting to blossom across the area. These storms will continue to grow and possibly congeal into a line over the next several hours. Strong to severe thunderstorms are still possible. Damaging winds remain the top threat, but large hail and an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out.
A tornado watch means that severe thunderstorms capable of producing a tornado are possible. Now is the time to make sure you have a severe weather plan in place.
