Wooh it’s cold out there. We have just about made it to the freezing mark today. It will be getting rather cold again night as skies continue to clear. Enjoy a near-normal January day before things get messy this weekend. We will see some sunshine with highs near 40° Friday.
Now let’s talk about the weekend. We are tracking a winter storm to bring periods of rain and snow to the Commonwealth. It will all come down to location and timing. Everything gets start as snow late Friday night/early Saturday morning. For northern Kentucky it will remain almost all snow this morning. Areas down south will see a little snow but then quickly transition over a cold rain. For the Bluegrass, we are tracking periods of rain and snow Saturday and Sunday. Everything will fall as snow on the tail end Sunday night and Monday morning. Accumulations are possible. Higher totals are expected near the Ohio River where it will be all snow.
