This weekend is the start of a series of progressively colder Autumn meteorological 1sts- Sunday is Lexington’s average 1st fall frost. Right on time we’re tracking an unusually cool & unsettled (showery) pattern this weekend into early next week.Expect a mostly to partly sunny and dry Friday with well below average highs in the upper 50s. Saturday will struggle to hit the low to mid 50s.
A round of showers will fire overnight into early Saturday morning with another wave of more widespread, soaking rain likely late in the weekend- Sunday into Monday. As far as frosty overnight lows are concerned- our next good shot at lows in the upper 30s (something we haven’t seen since late April) will be next Wednesday & Thursday morning.
