Here we go- the long, soggy stretch of days that began last Friday finally comes to an active end midweek. A cold front will track across the Commonwealth Wednesday sparking showers & storms that could produce heavy rain and lead to additional flash flooding concerns. A flash flood watch remains in effect through early Wednesday afternoon. A few strong storms will be possible but severe storms aren’t likely.
Beyond that, the good stuff! A few showers may linger over far southeastern counties Thursday but for most of us drier air takes over as high pressure does the same. We’ll enjoy partly to mostly sunny and dry late September days through the end of the week and into the weekend with highs in the 70s.
