A Flash Flood Watch has been extended into parts of the Bluegrass and eastern Kentucky. This watch will be in effect through Sunday evening.

Multiple rounds of widespread and embedded thunderstorms are expected this afternoon through Sunday as the remnants of Gordon track through the Ohio Valley. Rainfall amounts will vary, but most stand the chance of receiving two to four inches of rain.

Flooding may occur in a “flash.” It is best to be on alert as heavy rain falls over the next 24 hours. Never drive through flood waters. Turn around, don’t drown. More than 50% of flooding-related deaths occur in vehicles.

You can stay ahead of the heavy rain with the LEX 18 StormTracker Weather app. Check the MaxTrack Live Doppler and get the latest weather alerts all in one place.
