We’re tracking showers on approach as the weather pattern begins to change. Just in time for the beginning of school, the weather pattern becomes more active. For today, clouds have been on the increase and the initial line of showers is moving through. Otherwise, its warm and humid outside.
As we continue though today, heating and another wave of low pressure will fire off strong thunderstorms to our west. The best chance for severe storms will be in Western Kentucky, but we still have a shot at some strong to potentially severe storms. Strong wind and heavy rain will be the two big threats. Flash flooding is possible at times and you should watch for high water on the roadways. Activity will continue through the rest of the work week and into the weekend as well.
