LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Illegal drugs have become an increasing problem in our society, but, so has human trafficking.
This is the exploitation of young girls and women, stealing their self-esteem, selling their bodies for sex, all for profits of mostly men! This industry is generating nearly 10 billion dollars here in the US, 100 billion world-wide.
But, there is a non-profit, faith based organization that is helping these women and girls escape the bonds of sex exploitation and giving them hope, helping them to re-write their individual stories.
In today’s Digital Conversation Dia Davidson discusses this issue and the great strides Refuge for Women continue to make in this area, as well as, an author, survivor of human trafficking!
It is a conversation that is honest and hopeful, one you don’t want to miss.
