It's transition day. We'll trade yesterday's sunshine for clouds today. It will be a breezy and warmer day with highs pushing 60°. This evening may bring a few sprinkles. Rain showers file in after midnight. Rounds of soaking rain are expected through Tuesday. Up to 1" is possible across central and eastern Kentucky.
The rain will wind down on Tuesday as an Arctic cold front crosses. Temperatures will steadily fall throughout the day. Some snow could mix in on the tail end. The middle of the week brings our next blast of Arctic air. Wednesday begins with temperatures in the 20s and highs will struggle to make it back to freezing. The chill hangs on Thursday. Temperatures will moderate into next weekend.
