TMZ Sports is reporting that the ex-girlfriend of former Wildcat and NBA star, DeMarcus Cousins, filed a police report against him claiming he threatened her.
Cousins allegedly told his ex, Christy West, that he would "put a bullet in her f---ing head" on August 23. In the audio recording that TMZ claims West recorded and played for court officials, a man can be heard saying, "I'm gonna ask you this one more time before I take it to another level,"... "Can I have my son here, please?"
A woman, who is allegedly West, says, "No, he's not coming."
The man in the recording responds, "I'm gonna make sure I put a bullet in your f---ing head."
West claims that the argument was because West said she would not allow their 7-year-old son to attend Cousins' wedding to Morgan Lang.
TMZ is reporting that West filed court documents in Alabama seeking a restraining order against Cousins. USA Today reports that a Mobile Police Spokesperson Charlette M. Solis told them that their department received a copy of the recorded conversation and that the incident is pending investigation.
USA Today said that they were not immediately able to confirm the authenticity of the recording.
TMZ reached out to Cousins for comment, but so far, they have not heard back from him.
The 29-year-old suffered a torn ACL earlier this month. His wedding happened Saturday, a day after the alleged threat. Former Wildcat Anthony Davis was in attendance. TMZ reports that West and Cousins' son was not in attendance.
