Lexington Legends Forecast
Home Series: Thursday, May 30th – Sunday, June 2nd
Whitaker Bank Ballpark
Opponent: Charleston RiverDogs
We kick off another home series at Whitaker Bank Ballpark this week with the Lexington Legends taking on the Charleston RiverDogs. The weather will be a little more tricky this go-around, but there’s still plenty of time to enjoy some baseball!

Thursday, May 30th:
First Pitch: 7:05 PM EDT
Thirsty Thursday
Bark in the Park
It’s “cheap beer and puppy cheer” day at Whitaker Bank for this Thursday. Unfortunately it’s also the day with the best chance for thunderstorms this week. More activity is expected through the middle of the day, but we are still seeing the potential for thunderstorms into the evening. Have a rain jacket with you so you can dodge the tricky weather. Temperatures will be running cooler thanks to the abundant cloud cover and the rain showers.
Friday, May 31st:
First Pitch: 7:05 PM EDT
Sugar Skull Bobblehead Night
Friday will be more of a “hit and miss” type of thunderstorm day. What this means is that the thunderstorms will take on more of a pop-up isolated approach, instead of large clusters of booming storms. I’d still have some form of protection from the rain and storms, but if the park gets missed, it’ll be a good night for baseball. Temperatures will be warm, and it will feel nice with the breeze.
Saturday, June 1st:
First Pitch: 6:35 PM EDT
Military Appreciation Night
Post-Game Fireworks
Saturday is shaping up to be the best out of the series as far as the weather is concerned. Clouds will build through the day, but the chance for storms is low. AS stray shower can’t be ruled out, but it’s a very small chance at this point. The Legends will honor military personnel, both past and present, this Saturday for Military Appreciation Night! Show your military ID at the box office for discounted tickets.
Sunday, June 2nd:
First Pitch: 2:05 PM EDT
Kids Get in Free!
Field of Dreams Catch on the Field
Paint at the Park
Sunday looks to bring back the active weather with more isolated pop-up showers and thunderstorms. It will still be a “hit & miss” type of forecast, so as long as a t-showers doesn’t line up over the ballpark, things will stay nice and warm for the game.
