Posted
and last updated

Keeneland’s last week of the Spring meet starts Wednesday and ends Friday. This will be a good stretch of races, with Pink Day being the crown of the final week. Unfortunately, the weather wants to rain on the parades.

Wednesday
Wednesday looks mostly good for being out at Keeneland. Sure, it will be cloudy and a little damp, but showers will be hit and miss allowing for some time out from under the grandstand. Still, be wary of the possible showers that may pop up. Temperatures will be cooler than Tuesday, but still mild.

Keeneland will host “Pink Day” in an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer and to raise money for the cause. Wear your pink to the races! Hopefully, you have a pink rain jacket that goes with your outfit because the chance for rain is high. Showers through the beginning of the day, followed by a chance for mid to late afternoon thunderstorms. Temperatures will remain mild in the low 70s by final post.

Friday
the last day of Spring Meet will shape up to be a pretty good one. Temperatures will run cooler in the mid-60s, but that still feels pretty good. It will feel even better as the skies begin to clear in the afternoon allowing more sunshine to dry up the puddles (and the track). It will be a little breezy making it cool, especially in the shade, under the grandstand. Rain will taper off through the morning and should be wrapping up near first post, if not already finished.
