Former Wildcat, Daniels, New Girls Coach at Woodford Co.

One former Kentucky Wildcat football player has hired another former Wildcat basketball player to take over the Woodford County Girls Basketball program.

Woodford County Athletic Director, Dennis Johnson, has hired Erik Daniels to be the next head girls basketball coach. He had been an assistant coach recently for both the Bryan Station girls basketball team and the Frederick Douglass girls basketball team.

The Cincinnati native played at Kentucky from 2000-’04 where he was a first team All-SEC forward during his Senior season, second team according to the Associated Press. Daniels ranks 54th on the All-Time scoring list with 1,053 and 49th in rebounding with 520.

Jaron Brown was recently named the new boys basketball coach at Woodford County.
