(LEX 18)– During a press conference Wednesday, Coach John Calipari said that PJ Washington sprained his foot in the Tennessee game and that is why he was in a boot.

Cal said that the x-rays and MRIs are negative, but he sent Washington to a specialist to make sure he cannot hurt himself if he plays.

Washington was not at the arena during the press conference, but Cal said he was on his way. The coach told the press that Washington wants to play and is expected to be able to as long as the specialist clears it.
