LEXINGTON, Ky. – There is a report that UK is ready to fill the vacancy at it’s Defensive Coordinator position from within. It also says Kentucky will bring home a former Wildcat to help coach the linebackers.
Source says Brad White will be the new #Kentucky defensive coordinator. He will continue to coach OLBs while new coach Jon Sumrall fulfills role (coaching ILBs) vacated by Matt House, who is now with the #Chiefs.

White came to Kentucky at the start of last season after spending six years with the Indianapolis Colts. He will reportedly continue to coach the outside linebackers.
Sumrall comes to Kentucky from Ole Miss where he also coached the linebackers. He played at UK from 2002-’04 under both Guy Morris and Rich Brooks. He started his coaching career as a graduate assistant for Coach Brooks in the two years after he graduated.
