One of the nation's top Long Jumpers, Christian Lewis, has committed to South Carolina.
Lewis made his decision in front of his peers Wednesday at Frederick Douglass High School.
He chose South Carolina over Kansas State, Arkansas, and Kentucky.
"It feels good. I've been praying on it and asking myself where I would fit in at," said Lewis. "I went on a visit and it just felt great. It was awesome, the moment I stepped on campus, the coaches, the teammates, the environment. I just loved it."
Lewis is currently 4th in the nation in the Long Jump for High School, two-time State Champion, Outdoor All-American, and a member of the National Scholastic Athletics Foundation Team USA where he competing in Cuba Summer of 2019.
Lewis’ personal best and what would be considered a state best is 25'7".
