RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University football program will host two events for fans and supporters on the day before the annual Maroon & White Game.

The EKU Football Golf Outing sponsored by the EKU Worn Cleat Club will be held on Friday, April 5.  The golf outing will take place at Boone’s Trace National Golf Club and is $100 per golfer.  Registration will begin at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon.  There will be an awards presentation at 5 p.m.

The 10th Annual EKU Football Reverse Raffle will be held on Friday, April 5 at Boone’s Trace National Golf Club as well.  The reverse raffle will start at 6 p.m and is $100 per entry.  Fans will have the opportunity to win $10,000.  In the past, the event sold out of the maximum 250 tickets allowed, so make sure you reserve your ticket early.

The program was able to raise $15,000 last year, which helped pay for spring recruiting, facility upgrades, player gear, and more.

Fans do not need to be present at the event to win.

To purchase tickets, please visit http://bit.ly/EKU-2019-Reverse-Raffle.  Your ticket will be mailed to you (or held at door if received after April 1).  Please direct questions to Karl Park at 859-200-6686 or karl.park@eku.edu.

All payments made on the online giving site, or checks received by the development office, must have “EKU Football Reverse Raffle” designation.  If the designation is not indicated, the development office must treat it as a gift and the donor will receive a gift receipt, not a raffle ticket (KY Gaming Licensure No. EXE0002170).

Spring practice wraps up on Saturday, April 6 with the annual Maroon & White Game at 2 p.m.  Admission to the spring game is free.

The Colonels ended the 2018 season with four straight wins and were in the conversation for a playoff spot.  Eastern Kentucky finished 7-4 overall and third in the Ohio Valley Conference with a 5-2 mark.  EKU has won 10 of its last 16 games.

The 2019 season begins at home for the Colonels on August 29 when Valparaiso visits Roy Kidd Stadium.

Fans can get a head start on the 2019 season by placing a non-refundable $50 deposit on season tickets that will be included in the overall price of the package.  For questions or to place your deposit, call Alex Harrison at (859) 358-9272 or the EKUSports ticket office at 844-3-GOBIGE.

Eastern Kentucky has won two national championships, 21 conference titles and has made 21 playoff appearances.  No other FCS team has won at least two FCS national titles and 20 or more conference championships.
