2019 Candidates Announced for Miss and Mr. Basketball

LOUISVILLE – Today the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation announced the candidates for Kentucky’s 2019 Mr. and Miss Basketball.  As part of a partnership between the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation (KLEF) and the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches (KABC) the following Kentucky senior student athletes have been selected as Mr. and Miss Kentucky Basketball candidates and Regional Players of the Year:
2019 Miss KY Basketball Candidates 

Region 1: Elizabeth Curtis – Murray

Region 2: Karlie Keeney– Webster County

Region 3: Kayla Young – Breckinridge County

Region 4: Sarah Sutton – Allen County – Scottsville

Region 5: Maddie Wood – Marion County

Region 6: Emma Ralph – Bullitt East

Region 7: Nila Blackford – DuPont Manual

Region 8: Jaclynn Ruble – Anderson Co.

 The male and female with the most votes from the final ballot will be named Mr. and Miss Kentucky Basketball at the awards ceremony on Tuesday, March 5th in Lexington, KY at the Lexington Center’s Bluegrass Ballroom.

The 8th  Annual Mr. and Miss Kentucky Basketball Awards Ceremony serves as a fundraiser for the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation, who has announced Mr. Kentucky Basketball since 1954 and Miss Kentucky Basketball since 1976.
