A group of Lexington Soccer Players has returned home with their second straight National Championship.
The Under 12 team which goes by CR7, traveled to Disney in Orlando and competed in the 3V3 National Championship. After beating teams from Virginia, Florida, Indiana and New Jersey, CR7 beat a team from New York City to win for the second year in a row.
CR7 is coached by Michelle Rayner and the players are Lawson Shrensker, James Clay, Sam Shapiro, Jose Flores, Josh Guillen, and Drew Ballesteros.
This tournament is the culmination of playing in local events, moving onto Regional Events, with teams from around the country and playing for the National Championship each year in January.
