MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– An Eastern Kentucky University student is featured on ESPN’s Sports Center for his basketball skills, but he is not on the team.
Criminal justice major Samell Patel nailed a half court shot during a contest at EKU’s men basketball game on Wednesday.
He hit the shot during a time out in the first half and won a new Ford Ecosport, courtesy of Madison County Ford.
Patel’s car winning shot is number eight on ESPN Sports Center’s Top-10 Plays.
